It is our pleasure to present Aizawa Rie’s solo exhibition at Art Fair Tokyo 2025.

After graduating from Osaka University of Arts and Kasama College of Ceramic Art, Aizawa has continued ardently in her artistic practice, receiving multiple awards along the way.

Her work, achieved by repeated processes of spraying porcelain slip over the clay body then firing, results in a uniquely evocative expression.

The manner the clay rises, expands, and clusters together gives the impression that the organic compounds of the earth possess their own wills to be integrated into the whole. Her work reflects the artist’s state of mind while each viewer may project their inner image onto the piece.
